The Moser Factory was
established in Karlsbad (now Karlovy Vary) in north east Bohemia
in the last half of the 19th century. They became famous for the
great quality of their glass and more especially the exquisite decoration
in enamelling, gilding and sometimes acid etching. They even did
decorating work for some of the finest French glass makers of the
day. So much enamelled glass was produced in the late 19th
Century by many glass works from Bohemia. Not all of that which
is described by many people as Moser can actually be truly ascribed
to that factory, especially as not all of their wares were signed.
We will try to describe as accurately as possible all the pieces
on display here. If, of course, you know better, we would welcome
your input, we do not seek to deceive! |
